Cultureal is an exciting new arts festival for Sandwich brought to you by students from Sandwich Technology School and Sir Roger Manwood’s School.

Working alongside a team of creative practitioners funded by Creative Partnerships Kent, students have developed Cultureal in recognition and celebration of Sandwich's unique cultural heritage.

Come and join us on Saturday 29th March for entertainment and intrigue, food and music, ritual and invention.

Associated workshops and participatory events have been captivating the local residents since early this summer and are set to continue until the inaugural event in March 2008.

The town has already paid witness to the largest cake ever baked, when the public were invited to share their thoughts on culture, while helping with the mammoth task of icing it.

As well as contributing their definitions of the term 'culture', many members of the local community have generously shared their memories and stories of the town.  Look out for these, in various guises, in the lead up to the first ever Cultureal.
